Volunteering Case Studies
We welcome volunteers from all ages, backgrounds and goals for volunteering. Whilst volunteers develop invaluable skills on a project, the host organisation also benefits through a collaboration of visions and experiences.
Jane, a trained nutritionist, used her skills to help local communities in rural Guatemala. She tells her story: from monitoring and weighing babies to setting up personal hygiene workshops, and making lasting connections.
Kat, a finance analyst from London, volunteered at the charity Asociación Fatima helping to set up after-school activities for disadvantaged children. The experience also helped her to improve her Spanish.
Dani was placed with a co-operative community of families of former guerilla fighers who now grow and market organic coffee. Dani learnt coffee harvesting techniques as well as helping the co-operative develop agritourism.
